During this session Boyd Merritt will take attendees through the steps of the unemployment appeals process to include: filing an appeal, preparing for the hearing, attending the hearing and the final decision.  Boyd will also provide attendees with insight on the unemployment Appeals Commission, the burden of proof and evidence and hearsay.  This session will provide attendees with an insiders guide into the unemployment appeals process and will provide an opportunity to address concerns through question and answer.

Learning Objective:  participants will learn the employer's rights and responsibilities with respect to the unemployment compensation appeals process.
